North Pine Dam
Flood releases began at 11:00pm on Thursday, 22 October 2026.
Releases, combined with river and creek flows downstream of the dam, have now flooded Youngs Crossing Road which is now closed.
If you are downstream of the dam, stay away from fast flowing or deep water near waterways and floodplains.
Ungated dams
A number of ungated dams continue to spill as a result of recent rainfall in the dam catchments across South East Queensland:
- Enoggera Dam
- Ewen Maddock Dam
- Gold Creek Dam
- Lake Macdonald
- Maroon Dam
- Sideling Creek Dam
- Wappa Dam
- Cedar Pocket Dam.
Ungated dams are designed to spill during periods of heavy rain to ensure the protection and safety of the dam. Read more about how gated and ungated dams work here: https://www.seqwater.com.au/news/what-difference-between-gated-and-ungated-dam.
Avoid potential hazards downstream of dams such as fast flowing or deep water near waterways and floodplains.
