Dam release update

GATED DAMS:

Seqwater advises the Flood Operations Centre is no longer mobilised and there are no flood releases planned or occurring from Wivenhoe, Somerset or North Pine Dams. 

UNGATED DAMS:

Due to heavy rainfall, the following ungated dams are currently spilling:

  • Cooloolabin Dam
  • Enoggera Dam
  • Ewen Maddock Dam
  • Little Nerang Dam
  • Sideling Creek Dam

Due to continuing rain in the catchment area, outflows have increased from the following ungated dams:

  • Cedar Pocket Dam
  • Lake Macdonald Dam
  • Little Nerang Dam
  • Wappa Dam

Avoid potential hazards downstream of the dam such as fast flowing or deep water near waterways and floodplains.

Dam release notification service

Seqwater provides a free dam release notification service that provides subscribers with notifications by email, text messages to mobile phones or recorded messages to telephone landlines when dam releases are occurring.
