Seqwater is inviting applications from the community to participate in the North Pine Dam Improvement Project Community Reference Group (CRG).
CRGs give the community an opportunity to participate in a reference group that provides feedback on projects and disseminates information back to other members of their community. View the selection criteria.
The North Pine Dam Improvement Project CRG will:
- Build community understanding of the North Pine Dam Improvement Project through members sharing information with their local networks.
- Provide a forum for members to discuss issues of community interest regarding the North Pine Dam Improvement Project.
- Draw on local knowledge about Lake Samsonvale and its use from the community.
The scope of the North Pine Dam Improvement Project CRG is restricted to the North Pine Dam Improvement Project works. The CRG is to consider issues and impacts arising from North Pine Dam Improvement Project works related to:
- Water supply
- Community amenity and recreational facilities
- The natural environment
- Social values and impacts
- History and cultural heritage
- Business and economic impacts
Participation in the North Pine Dam Improvement Project CRG is voluntary and requires commitment from members for regular attendance at quarterly meetings, and willingness to actively participate in constructive discussion.
As a voluntary position, membership does not attract any form of remuneration. The CRG will comprise members representing the following interest groups:
- Environmental interest
- Catchment
- Fish management
- Education
- Recreation
- Community
- Business community
