    Seqwater is working to manage invasive pest animals around Lake Wyaralong.

    Wild dogs are a restricted pest species in Queensland. As a landholder, Seqwater has a responsibility to manage pest animals on its land under the Biosecurity Act.

    1080 baits will be laid from late October 2018 until late November 2018 at a number of locations near the dam. If you are in the area, please follow signage and the instructions of trained personnel at all times.

    Residents on Karragarra Island, Lamb Island and Macleay Island do not need to boil their drinking water as of 9.00pm Wednesday 24 October.

    Seqwater and Redland City Council have confirmed multiple treated water samples of the network over the past two days indicate the water is safe to drink.

    Water to the three islands is safe to drink and the boil water alert is now lifted.

    Redland City Council will now stop the supply of bottled water on the three islands and the bottled water pickup points will be gradually closing.

    Water is progressively being restored to Karragarra, Macleay and Lamb islands, however residents are advised to continue boiling their drinking water until further notice.

    A burst water main on Karragarra Island was successfully repaired overnight and drinking water is being progressively restored to island residents. Most residents should have water supply by early afternoon.

    Jack Harrison Park at Wappa Dam is temporarily closed due to a fallen large tree blocking the park entrance.

    Visitors are not permitted to access the site while work is undertaken.
