Mick Hanfling Park at Lake Kurwongbah will temporarily re-open from Saturday 19 September 2026.

Members of the public will be able to utilise the majority of the park throughout the school holiday period.

Significant upgrades have been undertaken at the site since July, including road widening, parking upgrades, drainage and erosion works and landscaping.

There are some outstanding works yet to be completed, with the park to be closed again at a later date for final upgrades.
