Gated dams:

Seqwater advises increased operational releases from Wivenhoe Dam will begin at 3:00PM, Wednesday 28 October 2026 to assist with the management of downstream water quality.

These low flow releases are not expected to cause significant rise in downstream water levels in the next 24 hours.

It is not expected that Fernvale Bridge, Twin Bridges, Savages Crossing, Burtons Bridge, Bells Crossing, Colleges Crossing, Mt Crosby Weir Bridge, Explorers Bridge will be affected at this time.

Ungated dams:  

Due to heavy rain, the following ungated dams are spilling excess water: 

• Baroon Pocket Dam 

• Cedar Pocket Dam 

• Cooloolabin Dam 

• Hinze Dam

Due to continuing rain in the catchment area, outflows have increased from the following dams:  

• Borumba Dam

• Enoggera Dam 

• Ewen Maddock Dam 

• Gold Creek Dam 

• Lake Macdonald 

• Little Nerang Dam 

• Maroon Dam 

• Moogerah Dam

• Sideling Creek Dam 

• Wappa Dam

• Wyaralong Dam.

Avoid potential hazards downstream of the dam such as fast flowing or deep water near waterways and floodplains.
