The Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project is progressing with onsite works continuing.

Seqwater has been able to work through a new construction approach and Lake Macdonald is expected to remain open to on-water recreation. Lake lowering is currently underway resulting in some minor impacts to recreational access due to the reduced water level:

• The fishing platform at Perch Park and Mary River Cod Park is now closed
• Vehicle access to Jabiru Park is restricted, however the day use area remains open to pedestrian access and paddle craft launching
• Parking for the Noosa Trail network will no longer be available from Kookaburra Park and is available from Lake Macdonald Park
• Pedestrian access to the Noosa Trail network will be available from Lake Macdonald Park to Kookaburra Park.
• 4x4 vehicles are required when launching vessels from Lake Macdonald Park boat ramp
