The Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project is progressing with onsite works continuing.
Seqwater has been able to work through a new construction approach and Lake Macdonald is expected to remain open to on-water recreation. Lake lowering is currently underway resulting in some minor impacts to recreational access due to the reduced water level:
- The fishing platform at Perch Park and Mary River Cod Park is now closed
 - Vehicle access to Jabiru Park is restricted, however the day use area remains open to pedestrian access and paddle craft launching
 - Parking for the Noosa Trail network will no longer be available from Kookaburra Park and is available from Lake Macdonald Park
 - Pedestrian access to the Noosa Trail network will be available from Lake Macdonald Park to Kookaburra Park.
 - 4x4 vehicles are required when launching vessels from Lake Macdonald Park boat ramp
