McGavin View Park will be temporarily closed for public access from the 13 July to 2 August 2026 to enable geotech investigation works to be safely conducted.

During this closure the following recreation areas around Lake Samsonvale will remain open:

• Tukuwompa Park
• Bullocky Rest
• Forgan Park
• Forgan Cove
• Kobble Creek
• Postman’s Track Trails
