Wyaralong Dam was closed to water users on Friday 25 July following intense rainfall across the catchment this week.

High water levels have resulted in water flowing over the spillway. This creates unpredictable and fast flowing water and downstream hazards impacting public safety.

We understand how disappointing this will be for all the rowing teams and thank the community for their understanding and cooperation.

Public safety is paramount for Seqwater and will always be our number one priority.
