Slater Park

Boating is a very popular activity at Lake Maroon. Electric boats, motorised boats, sail boats and paddle craft are permitted on the lake. The boat ramp is located at Slater Park. Please observe the 6-knot speed limit in the northern and southern parts of the lake.

Fishing is permitted if you have a permit.

Be Aware of Cattle Around Postman's Track At North Pine Dam

A number of cattle have been spotted in the vicinity of Postmans Track recreation area. Attempts to safely retrieve these cattle are underway but may take some time. Please play it safe, remain calm and report sightings to 1300 SEQWATER or by emailing [email protected] .

Western Boat Ramp at Hinze

The Western Boat Ramp is one of two boat ramps located at Hinze Dam.

Electric powered watercraft, sail craft and paddle craft are permitted on the lake.

You can fish from the shoreline or from your watercraft – just remember a fishing permit is required. We advise fishers to release and not eat fish from Hinze Dam because of the levels of naturally-occurring mercury.
