The Lower Lockyer scheme provides water for irrigation and was established following construction of Atkinson Dam in 1970. The Lower Lockyer Water Supply Scheme is located west of Lowood and was designed only to supply water for irrigation.

 

 

 

The Logan River scheme is designated to supplement natural flows for the fertile alluvial areas along Burnett Creek and the Logan River. The Logan River Water Supply Scheme is located in the Logan River Basin and supplies bulk raw water to WAE in the 11 zones that comprise the Scheme (see map). The scheme stretches along a 101 km length of the Logan River and along 30 km of Burnett Creek. The Scheme was established following construction of Maroon Dam in 1974. Since that time, new storages were developed, namely Cedar Grove Weir, Bromelton Weir, South Maclean Weir and Bromelton Off-Stream

The Cedar Pocket Water Supply Scheme was established to support irrigation for the local dairy industry following the construction of Cedar Pocket Dam in 1985.

The scheme was established to support irrigation in sugar, dairy and horticulture sectors following construction of Borumba Dam in 1964. The Scheme includes the ponded area of Borumba Dam and stretches downstream along Yabba Creek for 31 kilometres, then downstream along the Mary River for a further 142 kilometres to the end of the scheme west of Tiaro. Pie Creek is a diversion system consisting of 4.5 kilometres of channel and 6.8 kilometres of pipeline to divert water from the Mary River, via the Pie Creek Pump Station, into Pie Creek, McIntosh Creek and Callico Creek.

The Warrill Valley scheme provides water for irrigation customers, as well as for urban and industrial users. The Warrill Valley Water Supply Scheme was established following the construction of Moogerah Dam in 1961 and is located along Reynolds Creek and Warrill Creek, downstream to the Bremer River.

The Central Brisbane River Water Supply Scheme was established in 1980 to enable irrigation of up to 1,000 hectares of land in the area.
