Lake Kurwongbah is temporarily closed to all in water activities including water skiing. This is due to the recent significant rainfall into the catchment and resulting inflows which may affect water quality. The closure will remain in place for the next three days and be reassessed on Thursday 12 March 2026. Please note any further significant rainfall could extend the closure period.

The lake remains open to paddle craft.
