We are working in parts of Alderley and Enoggera to install a new section of underground water pipeline, as part of the SEQ Water Grid: Ashgrove to Enoggera Pipeline Upgrade.

About 1.3 kilometres of new water pipeline will be laid between Lloyd Street, Alderley, and Pickering Street, Enoggera.

Work will involve trenching (excavating) in the road reserve along Lloyd Street, drilling under the railway line between Glenalva Terrace and Bowling Street, and trenching along sections of:
•    Bond Street
•    Samford Road
•    Pratt Street
•    Glenalva Terrace
•    Bowling Street
•    Pickering Street (west from Bowling Street to Wardell Street and about 160 metres east from Bowling Street).

Standard work hours are between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Night work will be required when working on Samford Road to minimise disruptions to traffic.

Construction equipment will include excavators, drilling machinery, trucks and utility vehicles. Traffic control will be in place at all times to allow safe access for motorists and pedestrians. If you are in area, take care when driving through construction zones.

The pipeline will take about four months to install, subject to weather conditions and other unexpected delays.
