Our recreation sites
Seqwater dams, lakes and parks offer great opportunities to enjoy a number of recreation activities – but it's important to play it safe in and around these lakes.
Know the rules, only use designated areas and stay out of exclusion zones. These areas have been established for the safety of all visitors. Designated areas are clearly marked with signs or buoys on the water.
Seqwater lakes and surrounding catchments are home to a variety of flora and fauna. Choosing to recreate in these areas means you could be exposed to natural hazards such as animal bites, insect stings and uneven ground.
Our recreation areas are also subject to regular change from weather events, seasonal cycles and other events such as planned burns.
While your safety is important to us, visitors need to take responsibility for their own safety and be mindful of others. Always check our recreation and safety notices before heading out. Use our interactive recreation map or the activity guide below to find the best lake to suit your recreation needs, or view our one page recreation guide and follow signage and directions of staff on site.
