From mid-October 2015, Seqwater is refurbishing one of the Green Hill Reservoirs to improve the long term reliability of this important bulk water infrastructure.

The Green Hill Reservoirs are located in Chapel Hill and provide water to a large Brisbane City Council area including Brisbane City. The refurbishment will involve repairing the reservoir’s internal wall and floor joints, as well as general maintenance outside the reservoir walls.

Reservoir 1 has been emptied, and reservoir 2 will remain online for the duration of the refurbishment to help manage bulk water supplies in Brisbane.

Generators, trucks and utility vehicles will be used on site and we will have measures in place to minimise noise where possible.

Our contractors will be working between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend work is planned at this stage. The refurbishment will take about two months to complete, subject to weather conditions and any unforeseen delays.

Public access will be maintained during the project. Please remain vigilant when visiting the area, follow the instructions of site signage and personnel, and do not cross any barricades we have erected for your safety.
