    Due to rainfall recently received , and with further falls predicted,  at Wyaralong the trail network has been temporarily closed to public access.

     

    This closure is in the interest of public safety.

    Ewen Maddock and Lake Baroon are temporarily closed to all in water activities, including swimming, as a result of heavy rainfall in the catchment and inflows to the lake.

  • Lake Kurwongbah closed to all in water activity

    Recent heavy rainfall in the Lake Kurwongbah catchment area has resulted in high inflow levels which require closure of the lake to in water activities including skiing.

    Rowing and paddling activities are not impacted by this closure.

    With further rainfall expected later in the week water quality sampling will be undertaken on Tuesday 16 October.

    The lake will be reopened when water quality results indicate it is safe to do so.

    Seqwater will be upgrading the toilet facilities at the Lake Baroon Northern Recreation Area.

    Seqwater will be upgrading an underground bulk water pipeline on Gomana Street near the corner of Reserve Road, Slacks Creek.

    Work will start at 7am on Tuesday 9 October 2018 and is expected to take about 24 hours to complete, subject to weather and unforeseen delays.

    Seqwater and Moreton Bay Regional Council are working together to manage invasive pest animals around North Pine Dam (Lake Samsonvale).

    Wild dogs are a restricted pest species in Queensland. As a landholder, Seqwater has a responsibility to manage pest animals on its land under the Biosecurity Act.
