    Seqwater has a number of repairs and upgrades to do near the Alexandra Hills Reservoirs over the coming months to improve the reliability of this important water infrastructure.

    The reservoirs are part of the SEQ Water Grid and supply treated bulk water to the Redland Bay area including Alexandra Hills, Capalaba and Cleveland.

    Seqwater will be conducting a planned burn near Mt Crosby on Friday 8 July 2016, subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen delays. The burn will occur on Seqwater land along Blackwall Road, Chuwar. It will take one to two days to complete, however smoke may stay around for up to two weeks after the burn period.

    The burn will occur on Seqwater land along Prout Road, Capalaba. It will take one to two days to complete, however smoke may stay around for up to two weeks after the burn period.

    We are working in parts of Ashgrove to install a new section of underground water pipeline, as part of the SEQ Water Grid: Ashgrove to Enoggera Pipeline Upgrade.

    Seqwater is upgrading the boat ramp at Lake Borumba, near Imbil, to improve accessibility to the lake for boating, fishing and water sports such as paddling and skiing.

  • Works in your area- Mt Crosby Pump Station

    From Monday 20 June 2016, Seqwater will be conducting work at the Mt Crosby Pump Station office and storeroom building.
    Recently, the building has experienced some roof leaks and there is concern that if these leaks continue, the building may be damaged. To ensure the integrity of this historical building, the current roof of corrugated iron, gutters and flashing will be removed and replaced with new materials.

    It is anticipated that work will take about one week to complete, subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen delays.

  • Works in your area - Mt Crosby WTP upgrade

    To further improve the capacity and reliability of the Mt Crosby East Bank Water Treatment Plant, Seqwater is conducting an upgrade at the plant. 
    Starting in June, the upgrade is expected to take about 12 months to complete, subject to weather conditions and any unforeseen delays.  

  • Site access road upgrade on Protheroe Road, Joyner – June to August 2016

    Over the next few months, Seqwater is upgrading an access road to a site on the southern side of Protheroe Road, Joyner, across from the North Pine Water Treatment Plant.

    The road upgrade is needed to improve visibility at the site entrance for both workers accessing the site and motorists on Protheroe Road.

  • Pipeline valve installations in Redland Bay - June 2016

    Seqwater is installing new pipeline valves in parts of Alexandra Hills, Thornlands and Sheldon this month to improve the reliability of bulk water infrastructure in the Redland Bay area.

    Work will to start on Monday 6 June 2016 and take about three weeks to complete, subject to weather conditions and other unexpected delays.
