The combined levels of Wivenhoe, Somerset and North Pine dams have increased slightly to 96.7%, up 0.3% since yesterday, with inflows continuing into both Wivenhoe and Somerset. This the first time they have been at this level since May 2001. The dam levels have increased by more than 22% since 1 March.
Seqwater does not anticipate Wivenhoe reaching 100% capacity based on the current inflows. Additional rainfall will be required to reach this level. When Wivenhoe does reach capacity there is an additional 1,450,000 megalitres in flood storage capacity available.
