Seqwater is the major sponsor of the 2010 Bunya to the Bay event – where learning meets adventure.

The event is a two-week eco-adventure that runs from 29 August until 12 September 2010.

This year 30 junior high school students from around South East Queensland will become River Ambassadors when they paddle, cycle, hike and go boating more than 340 kilometres on the Brisbane River from its source in the Bunya Mountains, through to Fort Lytton on Moreton Bay.

The unique event enables students to learn about environmental sustainability using the Brisbane River and its surrounding catchment as a real case-study, whilst combined with physical activity.

You can follow this year’s River Ambassadors on a “virtual field trip” through student blogs, designated chat rooms, photographs and videos on www.bunyatothebay2010
