Lake Baroon temporarily closed for recreation
As a precautionary measure, Lake Baroon has been temporarily closed for recreation activities. Seqwater will be performing water quality testing at Lake Baroon, and the lake will be reopened to recreation activities as soon as possible.
Lake Baroon is located near Montville and forms the primary water resource for the Sunshine Coast.
Water from the lake is treated by the Landers Shute Water Treatment Plant.
