    There will be a temporary closure of Nindooinbah Dam on Friday 16 December 2016 for maintenance works. The works are expected to be completed on Friday 16 December 2016, with the Dam to reopen Saturday 17 December 2016, pending weather conditions or any unforeseen delays. If you are in the area, please follow signage and the instructions of our workers for your safety. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this important maintenance.     Lakes Atkinson, Dyer and Clarendon remain closed to all water based activities due to low water levels and water quality issues.

    Please follow signage and directions of staff on-site.

  • Management of Wivenhoe and Somerset camping grounds out to tender

    Seqwater has begun its search for a new campground operator to take on the management of camping grounds located at two of South East Queensland’s most popular lakes.

    The bulk water authority is seeking tenders to manage Logan’s Complex at Wivenhoe Dam and / or Somerset Park Camp Ground.

    Seqwater Acting Chief Executive Officer Daniel Spiller said Wivenhoe and Somerset were two of the region’s most visited recreation destinations, with a wide variety of activities and facilities available.

    Seqwater will be working at the Aspley Reservoirs, off Maundrell Terrace, over the next few weeks as part of our capital works program.

    Working hours are between 6am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Temporary boat ramp at Borumba Dam

    The existing boat ramp at Borumba Dam is temporarily closed due to lower water levels. A temporary boat ramp is available to the left of the existing boat ramp so boaties can continue to use the lake. 

    We’re continually monitoring water levels at the dam and will investigate the feasibility of extending the boat ramp should water levels continue to drop.

    We thank you for your cooperation and ask you to play it safe when visiting our lakes and parks.

    Seqwater has signed a five-year agreement with the Pine Rivers Catchment Association to expand initiatives that help protect the environment and source water quality in the region’s fourth largest water supply dam, North Pine.

  • Lake Clarendon diversion channel refurbishment – November–December 2016

    Seqwater will be refurbishing the diversion channel, between Lockyer Creek and Lake Clarendon, from late-November to late-December 2016.

    Lake Clarendon is an off-stream water storage that supplies water to the Central Lockyer Irrigation Scheme. The diversion channel is 6.4 kilometres long and allows water to flow in both directions between Lockyer Creek and Lake Clarendon for irrigation purposes.
