Seqwater is working to manage invasive pest animals around Lake Macdonald in the Noosa region.

The feral red deer is classed as a restricted invasive animal under the Biosecurity Act 2014 as it causes a range of environmental problems including damage to native vegetation and reduced water quality. Feral deer can also be a traffic hazard on our roads.

We will be working closely with Noosa Shire Council and other agencies over the next 12 months to roll out targeted pest management activities on Seqwater-owned land around Lake Macdonald.

If you are in the area, please follow signage and the instructions of trained personnel at all times.
