Seqwater will be refurbishing the diversion channel between Lockyer Creek and Lake Clarendon from late-November to late-December 2016.

Lake Clarendon is an off-stream water storage that supplies water to the Central Lockyer Irrigation Scheme. The diversion channel is 6.4 kilometres long and allows water to flow in both directions between Lockyer Creek and Lake Clarendon for irrigation purposes.

The refurbishment will involve removing sediment to improve the reliability of the channel.

Work will begin the week commencing 28 November 2016 and take about one month to complete, subject to weather conditions. Standard work hours are between 7am and 5pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am to 12pm on Saturdays, when required.

Equipment will include, but is not limited to, excavators, trucks and utility vehicles.

If you are in the area, please follow the instructions of our workers and signage, and do not pass any barricades.
