As a part of our commitment to ensuring a safe, secure and reliable water supply to south east Queensland, Seqwater will be implementing a number of upgrades at the East Bank (Mt Crosby) Water Treatment Plant in June 2014.

As the East Bank (Mt Crosby) Water Treatment Plant is an essential part of Seqwater’s water supply network, the program of work for the upgrade will be conducted in rolling 24 hour shifts over a three-day period from Monday 2 June to Wednesday 4 June 2014.

Work will involve the replacement and blanking of valves, sludge plant flow measurement and control work.

Partial road closures on Lake Manchester Road are required during the upgrade, and traffic control measures will be in place to ensure the safety of motorists and staff.

Construction impacts, including noise, dust, vibration and light spill will be mitigated where possible.

Work is expected to commence on Monday 2 June 2014 and will be completed on Wednesday 4 June 2014, subject to any wet weather delays.

This work is not anticipated to disrupt water supply in the region.
