Dan Spiller, Acting Chief Executive Officer
Dan has extensive experience in infrastructure planning, delivering complex projects, as well as a strong understanding of the region’s integrated assets. He was previously Seqwater’s Manager, Water Supply and System Planning. Prior to this, Dan was Director of Operations, SEQ Water Grid Manager following his role as Acting Chief Executive of the Queensland Water Commission.
Donna Gregory, Chief Financial Officer
Donna has 20 years experience at a senior level in both the local and state government sectors. A Fellow of CPA Australia, Donna has extensive experience in financial management, asset management, system implementation and continuous improvement. Donna joined Seqwater in 2008 and has held a number of both managerial and executive roles across the business. Prior to joining Seqwater, Donna worked in a variety of managerial and leadership roles within the Queensland Rail and Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Arran Canning, Acting General Manager Asset Portfolio Development and Delivery
Arran has more than been with Seqwater since 2008, holding management roles in water quality, environment, process improvement and asset planning. With more than 10 years' experience in the water sector, Arran had been responsible for drinking water quality management, risk management, and most recently, has lead and managed the integrated planning activities and prioritisation of augmentations of water treatment plants, the bulk water supply network, water storage dams and surrounding catchments.
Sally Frazer, General Counsel and Company Secretary
Sally has been a lawyer for more than 25 years, with 12 years’ experience in the water industry. She has worked in both the private sector and State Government as a senior executive and lead departmental lawyer, with a focus on legal, governance, compliance risk and company secretarial functions, as well as water infrastructure development. Most recently, Sally was the General Manager, Legal Services at LinkWater, where she was responsible for advising on all legal aspects of the water transportation infrastructure and network, and also held the position of Alliance Board Member for the entities construction projects.
Liam Tobin, General Manager Operations
Liam has more than 30 years’ experience in the resources, manufacturing and oil industries. Most recently, Liam was the Director Business Development at QER and before this he worked as Refinery Manager at Caltex’s Lytton Refinery and Plant Manager at the Boyne Aluminium Smelter. These roles required a strong focus on safety leadership, operational excellence and operating in a competitive environment.
In addition to his industry involvement, Liam held the position of Associate Dean of Engineering at Central Queensland University, where he was responsible for environmental and maintenance management, as well as process engineering research and education programs.
Ross Muir, General Manager Water Supply Strategy and Policy
Ross has more than 25 years’ experience in the water sector, specialising in commercial and regulatory aspects of water supply.
Before joining Seqwater, Ross was a consultant for more than 10 years advising private sector and Government clients in the Australian water sector on price regulation, infrastructure investments, institutional reform and water policy. Ross was also Commercial Manager at SunWater, where his responsibilities included customer service, billing, commercial investments, property, water trading and pricing.
Liz Kearins, General Manager Strategy, People and Safety
Liz has more than 25 years’ leadership experience across the media, tourism, healthcare, environment and water sectors. She joined Seqwater in 2013, moving from the Health Quality and Complaints Commission, where she led the Commission’s strategy, communication and engagement, clinical advisory services, and complaint triage and conciliation functions. With an extensive professional background in communication and engagement strategy, Liz is an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders, a certified Change Management Practitioner, and a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and the International Association of Public Participation. In addition to her role at Seqwater, Liz is Deputy Chair of the Board of Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia.
